A Song For Life · 生き甲斐

Named after the song that started it all - "A Song for the Life", written by Rodney Crowell, though it's the Waterboys' version off Karma to Burn that I keep coming back to. There's a line in it about learning how to listen, to a sound like the sun going down, that has kept my feet on the ground for years. The words belong to the people who wrote and sang them, but you can read the full lyrics on Genius.

The Starting Point...​

Music has been my thing since I was ten - the day I bought my first "music centre" with money earned climbing across the rooftops of Northern Ireland. The quest to find the next sound hasn't stopped since.

After my first 90-in-90 I started collecting lyrics. Printed them out, bound them with a bull-clip. It was barely a book, but it did what books do - it brought me back to myself when I needed a quiet moment.

This is an attempt to do something with that pile.
